OK. You'd better say "Wǒ tuījiàn nǐ kàn Harry Potter." I recommend you to watch Harry Potter.

很好!Please pay attention to the first word "不(bú)要(yào)." When "不(bù)" is used before a fourth tone, it change to "不(bú)."

Hi andrew 361! Nice to meet you! You said "la," so you want to express "辣(là)/ spicy or hot," right? So how about making a sentence with this word? :) Have a good day!

OK, Alex! Now I get it. For "dentist", we say "牙医(yáyī)." "牙(yá)" means teeth, and "医(yī)" means doctor. If you want to say "go to dentist to get out a tooth," just simply say "我去拔牙(wǒ qù báyá)." For the sentence "you like Bruce Willis," I heard that you said "你像Bruce Willis,好吗?(Nǐ xiàng Bruce Willi...

Thanks for your support, adlina18! We are trying to use a simple way to explain pinyin or grammar, and we hope it can make the lessons more easy to learn. Do you have any difficulty in learning tones? If you have any questions, feel free to let us know, we can talk about it. :)

Hi Alex! It's OK! So far so good! But one little thing, the better response to the question "你在哪儿学习中文(Nǐ zài nǎr xuéxí Zhōngwén?)" is "我在家和公司学习中文(wǒ zài jiā hé gōngsī xuéxí Zhōngwén)." :) Do you get it now? :)

Nice, Alex. You got it! Then you can practice some more sentences with this kind of structure. Grammar is important to some degree, I guess. We got a series of lessons about Chinese Grammar in the Crazy Grammar section. I hope that you can truly benefit from there. Also just let us know if you got a...

不客气(bú kèqi)。 You'd better say "谢谢你的回复(xièxie nǐ de huífù)," thanks for your reply. Or "谢谢你的工作(xièxie nǐ de gōngzuò)," thanks for your work. We don't put a adjective after 谢谢. "我学的每一天!" is not correct. I think your sentence should be "我每天都学(wǒ měitiān dōu xué)," which is "I study everyday." Is th...

Hi yaquicuevas1984! Your sentences are all about looking for someone in the past. (Now you have found him/her.) Where have you been?=你去哪儿了?(Nǐ qù nǎr le?) I haven't seen you around recently?=最近没有看到你?(Zuìjìn méiyǒu kàn dào nǐ?) In this two sentences, both 了(le) and 没(méi) are used to describe the...

Good! "I like to drive motorcycle but I don't have motocycle license. " in Chinese is: Wǒ xǐhuan kāi mótuōchē, kěshì wǒ méiyǒu mótuōchē jiāzhào.

Not bad, only need to pay attention to the word "mǎ." The third tone should be lower. Your third tone sounds like the first tone. :-)

Hi, Alex! I heard your recording, nice pronunciation as usual! Good! Just one little thing, for "many good friends," we usually say "很多好朋友(hěn duō hǎo péngyou)." "很多(hěn duō)" means many. "好朋友(hǎo péngyou)," good friends. BTW, nice one with the usage of "但是(dànshì/but)." :) So did you watch the vide...

Hi Alex, Your "chènshān" is very good. Pay attention to the word "yī." When "yī" is before first tone, second tone, and third tone, it change to fourth tone "yì." When "yī" is before a fourth tone, it change to second tone "yí." So you should say "yí jiàn chènshā" and “yì tiáo niúzǎikù.”

Hi, takak! 我很好,好久不见,你好吗?"晚上你请我喝什么?(Wǎnshang nǐ qǐng wǒ hē shénme?)" :) (Joking.) "Tonight" in Chinese is "今天晚上," whose short form is "今晚." "晚上" means evening or night. Yeah, "随便" is a nice word, but there are still some people who don't like this word. :) And for the sentence "我们随便谈话吧," it'll be b...
